I am using Pix4D Cloud to calculate the size of a stockpile. When I click calculate volume after completing my polygon I get the message ‘There was an error calculating the volume’. What could be the cause of this error?

you might be encountering an error due to the size of the volume you are evaluating. Could you share with us the ID of the project (the one embedded in the URL)? Which is the dimension of the volume you roughly expect?

first of all, I would like to inform you that our cloud developers are working on some fixes to improve the performances of the volume calculator for features of big dimensions.
Could you try more times to calculate the volume? The issue depends also on the quality of the connection and trying more times could enable the download of the data little by little.
The volume calculator should work on a smaller stockpile, as it is happening for the one I see on your project.

We just released an improved version of the algorithm we are using to calculate big and very big volumes. It should fix the issue you experienced.
