I will be flying a 500 acre site with a P4 and will be using 12 GCP’s collected with survey grade GPS. I am unsure if I should collect the GCP coordinates in WGS84 or the desired output CS (State Plane). Can someone give me advice about this? Is there an accuracy advantage to either?
Usually I use the same coordinate system in the GPC as the desired output because you can choose diferent coordinate system for the pictures (if used), for the GCP’s and the output. It works just fine. But be carefull for do not make any mistake. Pix4D normaly chose WGS84 as standart output.
Use the State Plane coordinate system for the GCPs.
