It is possible to use Pix4D to reconstruct the models of the cabins that can be later on used for depth/volume measurements.
In order to get the best results, I recommend the following:
- Adjust the image acquisition plan since snow has little visual content. More in the Image Acquisition Plan Type - Special cases articles.
- Adjust the Image acquisition plan for terrain with height variations.
- Check the How to measure Distances, Areas or Volumes article for more information on the measurements.
- Check the Volume Difference of an Area Surveyed over different Time Periods article and the Volume comparison between different projects of the same area community post.
There is a nice example of a Log house in Kuusamo, Finland modeled by one of the users. Feel free to also check and comment on that post in order to get more insights.
