Windows Freezing Bug - Ver 2.0.2 and 2.3.0

We recently purchased an maintenance license to upgrade our program from a few year ago.

After updating to the new version, Matic will consistently freeze Windows Explorer. I can still move the mouse around, but I am completely unable to do anything else. Task manager will not display and eventually, windows will start drawing over everything in Explorer. The only solution is to pull the power to our PC.

I never experienced this issue with our previous version of Matic. Both the 2.0.2 and 2.3.0 preview version do this consistently.

Microsoft 365 was uninstalled from the computer. I am running Windows 11 with a 4070 and 64GB of Ram; it is not a questions as to whether or not this PC can run Matic since we have run it successfully for over two years without this problem.

Edit:

I was able to reproduce this bug multiple times. Twice I was able to reproduce it when marking GCPs on a project. On our newest machine, running an i9, 128GB of RAM and a 5070, the system slowed down immensely. I was able to restart explorer multiple times, but the entire system slowed to a craw. PIX4DMATIC was closed, but the issue persisted. CPU/GPU/Memory usage was minimal and I could not identify any misbehaving application or any instance of Matic running anymore.

Hi Steven,

It sounds like you have valid support and upgrades. In that case, can you go to support.pix4d.com. Once there, tell Pixie (our AI assistant) that you want to submit a support ticket. This will give you much more efficient and quicker support than posting in our community. We don’t always reply promptly in this forum.

Thanks.
