Hi ,
Any news on this request?
Hi @admin1,
I see a couple different requests in this thread that we are working on for Pix4Dsurvey, though on different timelines. Selecting by color so that you can then do an action is in progress right now, and I hope we have something in a preview quite soon, so watch http://pix4d.com/survey in March… As for @AP_Procurement 's suggestion of sorting the point cloud by individual color intensities, we aren’t planning exactly that, but we will bring an option (later) to display by numeric values, such as elevation, intensity, etc.
thanks,
Nate
I would love to see the selection by color tool in Pix4d as well. Any news on progress towards that?
Users are requesting certain actions yet Pix4D does only half maybe? the best way to increase the value of your product is to build on it with what the users are asking for. Engineers and sales people are not a great sampling of what the customers are looking for. Then the response time to questions is like not having an answer so you just dont provide the answer at all?
these are the things I look at when trying to decide what software to use. And what software I suggest to my customers to use. so much more can be done. But, what I see is the increasing of dividing the program up and charging for every line of code to increase your bottom line. well personally that takes away from my bottom line and makes me look else where.
Hi Ken and @Jsurvey,
Welcome to the community! Indeed, we do our best to listen to all customers, so I’m happy to say that you’ll have a color selection tool inside Pix4Dsurvey really soon - I’ve been testing it today. It needs a little tweaking, so I can’t give you a date, but it won’t be too long. As you may have noticed, we post releases about every three weeks, so if not in the next preview, then it will come in the release just after that. I look forward to hearing how it works for you!
thanks,
Nate
Hi everyone,
I’m back here with a color select update a bit later than I hoped. Short version: you can go to https://www.pix4d.com/survey and download a new version of PIX4Dsurvey that includes an adjustable color selection tool.
Example:
You can also see that we’ve brought ASPRS classes (plus class 67, the PIX4Dmapper Human Made Object class). Also in this version: marking starting from images.
Tried it? What do you think?
Nate
Hey all! We added custom classes, so now you could make a “bus” class and assign all the yellow to that class. You can also export those custom classes…
