RGB Orthomosaic output only results in grayscale

Dear community,

I’m currently processing NIR and RGB 16-bit GeoTIFFs in Pix4Dmapper version 4.10.0. I’ve successfully processed the same type of images before using the same workflow, but I’m now running into an issue.

In the first step, I process all NIR and RGB images together, and everything looks fine — I can see the colors properly in the rayCloud.

However, in the second step, I choose to process only the RGB images (to reduce memory usage). The resulting orthomosaic file after the third step, however, is named with a _grayscale suffix, and when I open it in QGIS, it contains only a single grayscale band instead of a color composite.

Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to prevent Pix4D from outputting a grayscale orthomosaic in this situation?

Thank you in advance for any insights or suggestions!

Best

JH

Hello @stlange , Can you attach the quality report of the RGB images only project where you had an issue, so that we can understand the situation? If the input images are RGB, your output shouldn’t be greyscale images. I would also suggest attaching the screenshot from QGIS, which shows single bands.
