Random thoughts for June '25
Below are some thoughts / suggestions after using the tool intensely for several months…
Ability to export field information to Excel
Name
Centroid in latitude and longitude
Area
Organization/farm/client/crop
Operations with dates
Best if able to be done as a batch!
A little tool to help plan flights for a day - determine the total flight time, number of battery changes, required storage space and number of memory card changes for selected fields. (Extra points for including drivetime and a map!)
Include a summary of the weather conditions for each orthomosaic
Provide the ability to perform batch exports.
Provide the ability to select individual output files or grouped into one file on boundary export.
Provide guidance on how to copy an entire project with ortho, annotation, and boundaries, to another name (Maybe you have already done this and I’ve missed it).
Create “linear boundaries” to be used as basis of linear flight plans, for better integration with DJI Pilot 2.
In Delete / Boundaries, provide the ability to select which boundaries to select similar to how input is handled in Export.
Provide a sticky Filter for the home screen / project list so we can reduce scrolling when dealing with project / client / crop types.
It would be great if file operations, such as exports, should autofill the project name
Provide batch operations for many items, such as exporting. Include the ability to identify variable file naming and location As a stopgap measure, provide the Export operations from the home screen.
Remove Pix4D branding from reports.
Provide a way to REMOVE folders from being processed (if wrong folder / files have been added)
Provide more formatting / options for custom reports
Really need batch operations:
Ability to standardize different operations
Ability to control output locations
Ability to monitor and report operations
Ability to pause operations and restore after power off
Need to store data in a compressed format.
Need archive / retrieval for projects, to alternate locations, to free up disk space.
Just thinking off the top of my head…
