Hi Mike,
If you are using Pix4Dfields 2.9 or an newer version, the best way would be to back up your projects with the batch export functionality, manually delete all the files from the storage folder and finally reimport all the export projects back in your dashboard.
That’s a great suggestion from Sirio because this would delete all the overview files which are very big. Unless you open the projects then again, they won’t be recalculated by default. So you can save a lot of space by still having all the projects on the dashboard.
Oh, I see! That is a good workflow.
The downside is I have many projects. Don’t know exactly how many, but I think I’m up to 125 fields. This would be quite an undertaking.
Can you suggest a way to automate this?
I’m thinking back to my days using AutoCAD, and there was a purge command available that went through the database and pruned away all of the unused blocks I hope we can get something like this added to 'Fields
Hi Mike,
Unfortunately there is no other way to do it. Keep in mind that the batch export and import is performed with just one click: you only have to be sure to have enough disk space. The only thing that will take time will be to manually delete all the projects from the dashboard.
Kind regards.
Sirio
The available disk space is an issue, hence my interest in cleaning that folder. Perhaps some way to automatically do this can go onto the list of desired features?

Hi Mike,
Thanks a lot for your advice. We will surely consider this for a future implementation.
Kind Regards.
