Pointcloud and 3d mesh

Is pix4dmapper capable of improving the pointcloud, and therefor the 3D mesh, with an external pointcloud from a traditional 3D scanner.?
What i would like to do is improve the visual output of the 3d mesh so as to avoid unrealistic surfaces. The idea is to give pix4d more points (and in my opinion more exact points) to the project from a an external point cloud as to make a more perfect 3d mesh ( not the DSM).
Is this possible.

Unfortunately, Pix4Dmapper cannot use an external point cloud to improve the Mesh. It is possible in Pix4Dmapper to import a point cloud generated by an external source like LiDAR. Pix4Dmapper will use this point cloud in order to generate the DSM, orthomosaic, and other outputs after processing step 3. DSM, Orthomosaic and Index. (but not the Mesh) For more information, please visit How to import a Point Cloud delivered by an External Source into Pix4Dmapper – Support.
