Pix4D tries to write files with overly complicated filenames, and fails.

I just saw this in my log:

[Warning]: Warning w9020: GDAL Error <4> Unable to create png file //xxx/xxx/pix4d/Soltau_falcon/1_initial/report/html/ILCE-7R_ZeissSonnarT*FE35mmF2.8ZA(SEL35F28Z)_35.0_7360x4912 (RGB)(1)_pixel_error.png.

Looks like you need to truncate this. Trying to write a file with a name like that means trouble.

Hi Andreas,

Indeed the problem here is the name of the images. Would it be possible to rename them and try again?

Thank you,

Ina

But the image “ILCE-7R_ZeissSonnarT*FE35mmF2.8ZA(SEL35F28Z)_35.0_7360x4912 (RGB)(1)_pixel_error.png” is created by pix4d itself, isn’t it? I don’t think that I have any influence on this.

Hi Andreas,

I am sorry for coming back so late.

Indeed you are right it is the mapper does create this. Could you share the log file and the p4d file with me so I could take a look?

Thanks,

Ina
