NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2080 Ti or NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti?

I am in the middle of choosing my specification for my computer to use with Pix4D, and would like your advice on the following graphics card:

11GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2080 Ti - HDMI, 3x DP GeForce - RTX VR Ready!

I have just completed the 2-day training course in London, and Andrew had advised the GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti and was not sure with the graphics card I  suggested. THe explained that this was because more power doesn’t mean better results, and thought it best to check first before purchasing?

Looking at the data we have from Puget Systems Benchmark Tool for Pix4D, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Total performs better than the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti - please have a look at the comparison below. However, I would like to remind you that when configuring a computer, the most important is to have a balanced configuration so that there no bottleneck occurs. Having top GPU won’t save you if the rest of the components are not efficient enough However, I would wait with this decision for other users who actually tested those GPUs. They can tell you more how it looks like in practice
