The desktop version of pix4Dfields calculates multiple default indexes out of the box when processing images (NDVI, NDRE, …).
We would like to see something similar in pix4Dfields cloud version. It should be possible to upload multiple vegetation indexes for the same capture date. In the latest cloud version only one index is possible.
Thermal Index needs to be included so that the slider can compare both Visual and Thermal Maps simultaneously. This should be very simple now that you have added the NDVI index and so please add the thermal color Palette.
Hi all,
Thanks for the suggestions. Our team is constantly looking into your requests. We will notify our users whenever a new feature is implemented in Pix4Dcloud.
Kind regards,
This feature really needs to be considered by the dev team.
Hello Pix4D team,
I recently came across this post because I was attempting to upload multiple Indices (Example: NDVI, TGI, and MCARI) to a project which was originally created in Pix4Dfields, and “Shared” (uploaded) to Pix4Dcloud Advanced.
Unfortunately, I have not discovered a method to add those additional Indices to the project in Cloud.
The project displays perfectly with the two different datasets added to a Site for comparison purposes, but I can only compare one Index and the orthomosaic. The ability to compare only one Index seems like a significant oversight by the dev team.
Think of it from this perspective: Indices in agriculture and turf health monitoring are complex because each Index provides different information. That’s why Pix4Dfields allows the user to compare different Indicators for the same area of land.
Otherwise, we must upload multiple projects for the same plot of land and enter and exit them individually to compare different Indices. The human brain is challenged to recall the image throughout that convoluted process, which is the issue.
Try this yourself, and you will quickly understand why that workflow is undesirable.
I have manually Exported additional Indices from Pix4Dfields, but I do not see how I would Import them into Cloud Advanced as an overlay for comparison purposes.
If there is a way, even if it is a kludge, would you please provide that workflow so I can experiment?
Regards,
Michael.
Has this been fixed by now???
Hello @stefanlehnen23
Please note that this is a feature request.
Currently, in our roadmap for this year, we have a plan to facilitate multiviewing of multiple files of the same format simultaneously, such as point clouds, orthomosaics, etc. I will let the product team know of your interest in paying special attention to the display of index maps. We haven’t yet announced a release date, but please know that we are already working on it.
Best regards
