Hello,
Is it possible to merge two projects using the command line?
I did not find any command here:
https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/202560329-How-to-use-the-command-line#gsc.tab=0
If the command line does not support project merging, is it possible to manually edit or create a .p4d file for this purpose? Then the merging processes would run when the .p4d file is opened for the first time.
Many thanks for your help!
Nicolas
Hi Nicolas,
At the moment it is not possible to merge a project through the command line.
Note that to merge a project one should add Manual Tie Points (MTPs) in each subproject, this is another blocker as this can only be done in the user interface (UI).
The merging procedure is described in more detail in this article.
Hello,
I would like to request a feature that will enable merging projects through command line. I have projects that have thousands of images thus obligating me to split them up. I can mark gcps and mtps beforehand using the basic editor.
In addition, a feature of using optimize/rematch and optimize with the command line would help as well.
With these features it will be possible to process a very large project in pieces on the weekend and still have a product by its end, without need of intervention, using a batch file.
Please add those features.
Thanks,
Nitzan
Hello,
The command line has to be used with a Pix4Dengine license. We have ongoing discussions with our Enterprise customers about how to bettet develop the Pix4Dengine product. I recommend you talk to your Sales representatives and explain your needs to them.
Also, please keep in mind that Pix4D is developing Pix4Dmatic, a new product that is optimized for processing large datasets. You can have a look here: Pix4Dmatic and subscribe to this page in order to get the updates about this new product.
