Large Area Survey- 54 sq km GCP requirement

Hi,

I want to survey 54 sq km. Land is relatively flat. What would be the recommended GCPS for the site? I’ll be using Manual tie points as well. Flying a DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.

Hello @samuelnonie, GCPs are required to get better relative and absolute accuracy. So, if you want the survey grade accuracy, you have to add GCPs, if not PIX4Dmapper should be able to give a good orthomosaic if you have good image overlap during image acquisition.

Can I find the function of distance from GCP?
Actually, is there a formula or function for GCPs distance?
