Inspire 1 GPS Altitude

Can anyone confirm that the altitude values being written to the EXIF data on images from an Inspire 1 are relative values (to home position, I assume) and not true GPS mean sea level values?

I have a project which was flown near 5,000ft MSL, but the elevation values attached to the images are showing in the 10 to 100m range, which was the altitudes of my flight.

I’m trying to determine if Pix4D is reading the wrong value, or if the Inspire is writing the wrong value.

Hi Mark, the altitude in the EXIF of the images of the Inspire 1 is relative to the ground (at least in my case). I think that the Inspire 1 has an altimeter and it computes its altitude from the home location so it is the altitude relatively to the ground.
