Importing layers vs importing project imagery into new project

I’m processing flights. I flew many of them with a larger flight boundary to capture several fields at once. I’ve been playing with different ways to import / share the basics between projects.

Which is the better workflow:

  1. Export layers from the master project and import those into new project?

  2. Export the project, and import geoTIFFs of the ortho and surface model?

Is there a difference in speed / accuracy?

Please share your thoughts!

  1. You can trim the layer in the master project with the field boundary and export the layers as data.tiff and reimport into a field spefic project. You won’t lose any detail doing this.

  2. Export the whole project after processing and import it as many times as you need it. Trim in each project and delete all the source layers you don’t need. Also a viable option.

I’ve noticed a super long time to import the Geo tiff from a project. Is option one faster?
