I have a series of shapefiles indicating well locations on a site that I want to import as annotation. I would also like the import to maintain the Well IDs. Is there a specific field name for imported shapefiles that will maintain all of these IDs, ie. attribute field “Name” in the shapefile will be used for the annotation “Name” or tag?

The shapefile import is a beta functionality and at the moment it is mainly intended to be used to transfer annotations from one project to another.
What I would recommend is to try to first create the annotations on your Pix4Dcloud project and later export these to third-party software and there edit their properties so that you can see which properties are written (and read) from Pix4Dcloud.
