High deviation in heights (Z) Mavic 3E data

hello people,

We are working with data acquired using a DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise with 100% RTK fix, processed in Pix4Dmatic. The flights were executed with a stable RTK FIX solution and we’ve used GCP’s in the project.

Despite this, we observe significant inconsistencies and errors in the Z-values of the resulting dataset. We’ve analysed the MRK file of the drone operation, the drone recorded consistent ellipsoidal GNSS heights. Still we have a deviation of at least 60cm in the Z values and we cannot find the error.

Is there anyone with the sames experience and maybe found the solution?

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for reporting this. To help us identify the exact cause, could you please provide the following details:

  1. Coordinate system and vertical datum for the images. You mentioned the drone recorded ellipsoidal heights. Does the images CRS match this? It can be checked in Pix4Dmatic in the Cameras table

  2. GCP coordinate reference system

  3. Project CRS: please confirm the coordinate system selected in the Pix4Dmatic project

  4. RTK source: were you using a local base station or an NTRIP service?

Kind regards,

Alexey
