Feature Request - Save view rotation

I am providing plan overlays, and to read the information, I have to rotate the map view each time. Now, if it were a simple right mouse drag, it would be one. But we have to use Left Shift + Left Alt and the left mouse button. All this when the right mouse button has no function if I use it.
As I am uploading multiple plans and have to wait for them to process, I hit reload after about 5-6 minutes to see if they are finished. The map orientation gets reset. I am fine-tuning the blue and red crosses and hit complete. Orientation is reset. This afternoon I must have rotated the view at least 50 times. Please save it. You have a reset orientation; it seems to be missing a Save Orientation view.
I will be making weekly flights …. a lot of times rotating.

Thanks

Hello @petermorssink

If you are importing the Design Overlay as a PDF, you can adjust the file rotation as part of the process. However, if you are importing the file as a DXF, this cannot be done. In the case of DXF, rotation and having the DXF correctly georeferenced to the same CRS as the dataset in PIX4Dcloud are prerequisites for importing the file into the system.
See more information here:

We can consider this post as improvement request for the product team to consider.

Have a nice day!

Kind regards

Good morning, Heidi,

I know I can rotate it when applying the overlay. I am referring to when viewing it.

This is when I open the map

This is the view (orientation) I want saved

Hi @petermorssink,

Thank you for the additional information and screenshots. These were really helpful.
In fact, I see that there is an inconsistent 2D Map Rotation Behavior.

I’m in contact with the developers, who are working on a solution.
I will keep you posted.

Thank you again for reporting this!

Cheers,
Daniele

Thanks, Daniel. Any updates?

Hi @petermorssink,

No, I do not have any update at this stage. But I can assure that the issue has been logged and will be handled as soon as the team schedule allows for it.
