It would be great to be able to name/label the individual datasets within a site timeline so you can get to a specific item without having to know the date/time. This applies to the Compare function as well. If I have 5 different Catch scans of different areas of a work site on the same day and want to add one within Compare, I have to trial and error selecting the date/time of the scans and see what pops up, trying to find the one I want. If I could label them (Influent Pump Station, RAS Pipe, Site Aerial, etc) it would be much easier.
I sent in a ticket with the information shown below and the response was for me to reference this community post, which was one I made a year ago. Am I they’re only one that has significant issues with the UI of Cloud regarding dataset organization or is there a trick that everybody is using to get around this that I’m missing?

The fact that the chronological timeline is the only method for organizing scans is a significant issue. There is currently no way to name a particular dataset and see what that name is without clicking on that thumbnail in the timeline, clicking “files and reports” and going to details. Why is that not at the top next to the capture date/time? Beyond that, the timeline is borderline useless for finding a particular scan if you have a large number of scans. If I take a scan of a waterline and the dataset is called Waterline Station 20+00, there should be a way to see that name on the timeline, organize the timeline by asset type, building, etc. or at least create a way to search for the word “waterline” that will show me the 20 scans that have that in the dataset title.
I want to use Pix4D for an asset assessment project that will have 1000+ scans at a couple dozen sites, but once those scans are in there, I will have no way to find a particular “thing” that I scanned within the 100s of scans that will all be grouped together in roughly the same data capture date. I can name the datasets, but Cloud doesn’t show or use that name, so that is useless.
