In pix4dmapper by default the camera externals were exported also in WGS84 (geographic, i.e. lat/lon). This is in pix4dmatic not implemented yet, but would be helpful. The functionality should be available since the export of meshes into 3D tiles also needs a conversion to geocentric coordinates, so the geographic coordinates should also be doable right away I guess, for the 6 parameters per camera.

But, you certainly can export the calibrated camera externals in the project CRS. You would then need to reproject and transform the coordinates into WGS84.
Sure, that is clear. But it is much more convenient if the software does it internally. Also: for the locations of cameras (projection centers), this is straight forward, but for the rotation angles it is a bit more cumbersome to do it correctly. As said, at pix4d the methods should be implemented already, see pix4dmapper
