Hello Friends of Support. Here is my discovery:
March 06 I fly an area, generate DSM, Import into Arcmap. Elevation MSL is between: 582m - 611m
March 07 I fly an area, generate DSM, Import into Arcmap. Elevation MSL is between: 637m - 667m
Exact same mission plan, about 24 hours apart.
Why the difference in elevations?
Could you share some more informaton? Did you use GCP’s? What drone you were using?
Hello there, no I am not using GCP’s.
Matrice 210
Is your M210 RTK or the regular M210. If it’s not RTK version then the onboard gps ain’t accurate enough to make day to day flights. Sometimes even battery change gives me different altitude using P4P. You really should use GCP’s or (RTK) PPK enabled drone if you need the exact elevation.
Hello,
As Jaakko mentioned, if an RTK GPS was not used, using GCPs is necessary in order to get accurate results and be able to compare projects that have been generated with images acquired through different flights and under different conditions.
Especially, with images geotagged by DJI we have noticed that there might be some inaccuracies for the altitude depending on the location you are mapping. As a consequence we always recommend the use of GCPs.
