Any news in this case with the DJI Mini 4 Pro and the SDK
Hi I have the same question will it work for PIX4d mapper or will they make it compatible in the future?
Hi @h.fremstad,
Hi @laurence.lee,
Welcome to the Pix4D Community
We do not have any news about the DJI Mini 4 pro and the SDK support.
Regarding PIX4Dmapper, please note that Pix4D’s photogrammetry software is image acquisition app agnostic. That means PIX4Dmapper, PIX4Dcloud, PIX4Dmatic, PIX4Dreact, and PIX4Dfields can process images taken virtually from any application as long as they are of good quality and overlap.
Hi Daniele,
I’m new to this forum, however I’m looking to purchase a DJI mini 3 / 3 pro or mini 4 for data capture & Pix4D processing.
With the understanding that any good quality images can be processed though PIX4Dmapper,
can you please explain to me the benefits of using a supported drone (mini 3 pro)
or any down falls of using a DJI mini 3 or 4.
Thanks
Hi @Mr_rgv
Welcome to the Pix4D Community.
Correct, PIX4Dmapper can process images from any drone, as long as the quality of the images is good and there is enough overlap.
The list of supported drones refers to PIX4Dcapture Pro, a flight planning app. You can find the list here:
To summarize, if you are using a non-supported drone, you won’t be able to use PIX4Dcapture Pro to plan the flight.
Here, you can find a list of drones you can use for free (Discovery column) and drones you can use if you own any valid license for a Pix4D Product (Professional column): Note that if you have a perpetual license, you also need to have an active Support and Upgrade in order to have a “valid” license.
