Seeking some guidance on how we might capture a photogrammetry model of an underside of a wharf. This environment will be largely GPS denied given the large concrete slab above us. Our initial thinking is that we’ll use our DJI Mavic 3E in handheld mode to capture this photos and then process it through Pix4D we’ve tried this once in another software package and haven’t had much success.
Anyone else done something similar?
Hi @damien.dry ,
Welcome to the Pix4D Community
.
Using the drone in handheld mode should work. Make sure to ensure a good overlap between images and make sure that the quality of the image is good (no blurred images, …).
Alternatively, if you have an iPhone, you can also consider PIX4Dcatch:
You can then combine the terrestrial with the drone acquisition.
My colleagues will be happy to show more in detail how it works:
Kind regards,
Daniele
