Camera Calibration in Pix4D


I read the article “How to calibrate a Perspective Lens Camera”, and cannot figure out the reason behind a procedure.

Regarding procedure 12.4, why should the user inputs the Principal Point as ImageWidth(or Height)/2, but not the calibrated value of Principal Point obtained after step 1 of Pix4Dmapper processing?

This is only needed when trying to add a camera to the INTERNAL PIXDmapper database or, if the information is missing/wrong in the EXIF of your images and you need to add it manually to start the processing.
