25 cm Nozzel-Distance best Workflow

Hi all,

I am using Pix4D Fields in the second season now. Now i got in contact with a costumer which is using a Agrifac Condor with 25 cm Nozzle-Distance and PWM. We tried to get the potatos in Onions.

I used RGB with a GSD of 0.4cm/pixel in a 20 Hectare Field, using an M3M drone. Getting the ortho-photo wasn’t that hard for my computer. But laying the grid for the magic tool took 45 min to one hour for a pretty good set up (32 gb Ram Nvida GTX3080) i choose the grid size which was preset by pix4d fields. We wanted to use the 25cm Nozzels to save as much chemicals as possible.

May be you have some instructions for me to get the job done more efficiently

Hi Jonas,

currently that is to be expected, the lower your cell size the longer it will take, even on powerful systems.

The good news is we already have a solution for it, and that solution will get the job done in ~3 minutes on your type of machine. The bad news is we will still take some more time to quality test it, so we will not release it very soon. So in the future, you will be surprised how fast your machine will get this done :slight_smile:
