Two Projects, Two Different Elevations

Our team flew a project area then returned several months later to fly an additional adjacent area. After processing both projects I have found that the overlapping areas differ in elevation anywhere from 1-6 feet. GCPs were used both times and they were established using the same survey control point. I have checked for all the normal blunders but cant seem to figure out what the problem is.

Any ideas?

Hi ajbrennan,
could you share the Report of both projects? With no screenshoots at hand, I can only make suppositions:

  • if one of the two projects shows a 1-6 ft of Camera Displacement: the Pix4D is recognizing the GCPs, but it’s unable to make the proper adjustment due to an unknown reason (log or report are needed to investigate further)
  • if none of the two projects shows Camera Displacement: in one of the two projects, no GCPs where used (maybe they were selected as Check Points, or Manual Tie Points)
In both cases, I kindly suggest to Create a Support Ticket, once Pixie allows you to do that (sometimes it’s thinking several minutes, before to go ahead with the interaction): until now, I opened several ones, and I always received a good support.
    Regards,
    Giancarlo
