the best graphic cards

what are the best graphic cards for workstation?

Hi Marco,

It is important to consider also other components not only the graphic card. When configuring a computer, the most important is to have a balanced configuration so that there is no bottle neck. The 4 key components are:

  • CPU
  • RAM
  • Hard Disk
  • GPU

However the different processing steps use the resources in different ways. Even within a step, it happens that some small instructions need to be completed, which cannot be paralleled and therefore it will not use the full resources.
Hardware components usage when processing with Pix4Dmapper are detailed below:

You can find here the minimum and recommended system requirements for Pix4Dmapper:

As a good machine configuration we recommend the following configuration:

  • CPU: Intel i7 5820K (6 cores, 12 threads).
  • RAM: DDR4-2400 32 GB.
  • SSD: Crucial MX100 256 GB.
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 660, GTX 760.

Best regards,

These specs are outdated. The best graphics right now are the GTX 1080 ti until the new titans come out.

What is the different GTX1080 vs Quadro series…

What make GTX1080 have is drawback against Quadro series…

Hi Sim,
