I just went through training with Rosana on Pix4Dmatic, she mentioned if we had any other ideas for what the AI could detect along roads.
My aerial surveys are used for site development surveys (topographic surveys along urban or rural roads), construction tracking/quality control so ‘dirt’ volumes, overlaying the ortho on top of the design checking asbuilts, etc.
During road constructions jobs, especially on rural roads, it would be nice if AI could track down all the communication/electrical furniture.
@rpoyser can you post a few pictures of what you have in mind? And in which country are you based? As a general rule, the success of automatic object detection will depend on which objects are used for training and those can be quite different across regions.
