Overlap vs Keypoints Image Scale

Which approach is more effective:

A: To increase overlap between images , thus increasing number of images per area, but then use 1/2 or 1/4 image size to extract keypoints during initial processing.

B: To keep a balanced overlap between images reducing number of images per area, but then use a FULL image size o extract keypoints during initial processing.

Hey Vusal,

As a general rule, we would recommend to have a balanced overlap and use the default options (i.e. Original Image Scale) for precise results.

Of course, the overlap will depend on the type of terrain and the area you are mapping.

As you can also see herefor very large projects with high overlap, you could use the scale of 1/8 (eighth image size) for faster processing. This will, usually, result in a slightly reduced accuracy as fewer features will be extracted.
