Hello everyone, My name is Francisco and i am currently trying to import a variable prescription map into my AFS pro 700 in order to apply with an ON/OFF modality to target specific areas of a field with my case patriot sprayer.
Has anyone done this succesfully? I am exporting the map from pix4dfields with a Shapefile format which the monitor seems to recognize succesfully when i save the 5 files in a folder named “Shapefile”, But after the configurations of the monitor and selecting the preescription map, the sprayer does not turn off and on the different sections of the boom (even tho this works correctly when doing a normal application).
When i import the map the drawing shown in the monitor seems perfectly fine and even in my tasks when i select the one that shows the current map i am working in you can see the actual map with the poligons but it does not work, the sprayer sprays everywhere.
Thanks in advance and have a nice day.
Hi Francisco,
From our experience, the AFS Pro 700 requires a specific format for ON/OFF that can’t be generated directly within PIX4Dfields.
From what you say the map is loaded, perhaps it has something to do with the monitor configuration. Can you reach out to the Case support?
Gracias Jose!
I have actually managed to make the afs pro 700 read correctly the prescription map, it identifies well the 0 l/ha and 35 40 or whatever volume per hectare i introduce, the problem is that the transitions between the different volumes are not being handled correctly, i made some testing with 10x10m areas up to 40x40m areas as well as with very small differences in the application volume but i am not able to find the right settings yet to make.
If someone knows or already used preescription map with a similar set up as mine, please let me know the right settings for it to work. For the moment i am going to keep testing different settings and maybe hire the Xarvio service and see if they can handle the set up and make it work.
Thank you
