There is a lot of fo information on the internet about it.
One of the inputs that are needed is the Land Surface Temperature and to get it, UAVs can play an important role when they are equipped with thermal sensors.
One example is explained here.
I have also seen other use cases where the thermal sensors are also combined with multispectral ones.
