If you currently export anotations as geojson or shape from Matic with descpritions the Descriptions are not included. The geojson does not have this information at all and the shape file has a wrong “.dbf” file. I tested this with multiple projects, so this seems like a general problem.
On the other side the export of anotations with descriptions with Pix4Dcloud works perfect (geojson and shape).
Could you please correct that and is there currently a workaround for this issue with Matic?
@anschlei thanks for reporting, we’ll look into fixing this. Sorry for the inconvenience! a workaround could be to create your results in PIX4Dmatic, then Share to Cloud your results and annotate there before exporting.
Could you please clarify what you mean by shape file has a wrong “.dbf” file? Do you mean the attributes only have FID instead of Name or Description fields?
Yes the Name and Description is missing. I have attached 2 Shape files.
Comes from Pix4Dcloud and has 3 Objects (Point, Polyline, Polygon) with Names and Description
Comes from Pix4Dmatic and has 3 Objects (Point, Polyline, Polygon) with Names and Description
If you open an .dbf file from the Pix4Dmatic Export with a Editor its almost empty, while the .dbf files from Pix4Dcloud includes the name, the description and the color.
I hope this helps you and It would be amazing if this could be fixed.
