fruit tree management

I am currently working on a project involving fruit tree management and would like to use Pix4D for both mapping and spraying missions. Specifically, I’m looking to understand how to:

  1. Set up a ready mission for fruit tree mapping (to capture high-quality images for canopy analysis, tree counting, and health monitoring).

  2. Create or import a spraying mission (for targeted pesticide, fertilizer, or foliar application) based on mapping data or prescription maps.

Could you please advise on the following:

  • Which Pix4D software or module (e.g., Pix4Dcapture Pro, Pix4Dfields, or Pix4Dreact) is best suited for mission planning and spray route creation?

  • Any tutorials, best practices, or example projects related to orchard spraying missions.

My goal is to establish an efficient workflow — find out what is the best way to make mission. in Pix4d.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I look forward to your guidance and any resources you can share.

Hi, thank you for reaching out with your post!

For mapping missions, you should use the drone’s native flight application (like Pilot 2 for the Mavic 3 Multispectral). Please note that PIX4Dcapture Pro has been discontinued.

Once your images are collected, you can process them in PIX4Dfields to generate your final deliverables, including the Targeted Spraying maps you need.
