Point Cloud Separation

Hello
We are seeing separation in the point cloud produced in Pix4d. We typically export out the point cloud into another program to clean up and classify. This doesn’t happen every project but in this case we are seeing a separation in the cloud at the ground. See the attached screen shots in the posts below. Has anyone seen this before?

This separation is causing inaccuracies in the final surface if we don’t manually re-classify the separated points.
I have attached the quality report, which I don’t see anything unusual.

Hi @chris6 ,

I would have a question for you. What do you mean by separation? All those grey points that are separated from the rest?

Regards

Yes it is one point cloud, the points are separated by a tenth or so. When we run a auto classification the grey is un-classified and the brown is ground classification.

Hi @chris6 ,

You could try to eliminate this noise by unselecting the Multiscale option and changing the Minimum Number of Matches to 2. I believe it should help. But, let me know!
