New Xeon Computer

Just use the latest Nvidia driver and you should be fine.

Austin - No I don’t see anything like that.  Just all blue pc icons.

I should note we are running windows 10 pro.  If anyone has suggestions for windows settings in win10 or Pix4D/Windows experiences that might help please let me know.  Thanks again for the help.

Also running W10. All comments are valid for W10 Pro.

Well I had another hang up today. Step 3, Load Point Cloud. Hung up at 35% on a 2200 image project. I have emailed support again about this.

When this happened last time, I closed the project, reopened and restarted step 3. It seems there is a bug when having all three steps activated.

But I also have another issue now that the project .p4d file is corrupted and won’t actually open the project
have emailed support.

Philip - We have that same point cloud loading issue on another PC.  Last one we tried got to 11% and never advanced overnight.  In that case I had completed step two and started step three independently.  I was thinking that separating the steps might fix the problem but it did not.  I have not had a corrupted .p4d file yet.

So theres definitely an issue with Xeon processors and the Mapper Pro code it seems.

Did you try starting step 3 by completely closing P4D and re-opening the project?

Lets see what support say tomorrow once the office opens.

Let me have your email address Ryan and I will resend and cc you with reference to your issue as well.

Have you recently updated your software? If so might role it back.

We are running 2.1.61 now.  We started on the Xeon machine with 2.0 and have had the same problems since day one.  I have never noticed any processing performance differences between the updates.

I don’t remember if I closed and reopened the last project that would not load the pt cloud.

email is zach@avqld.com (the account is under Ryan but email me, Zach, at that address)

I am running the latest Pix4D on my dual Xeon setup with no issues. Latest bios and Windows 10 Pro.

Arturo - have your processed any large datasets recently ? 2000 images and above?

Ran roughly 5000 images yesterday and finished this morning. No hanging in any step.

Which Xeon do you have?

IntelÂź XeonÂź Processor E5-2687W v3

I am running dual 2670 128GB Ram and a ASRock EP2C602-4L/D16 . It isn’t the fastest , but for the price it can’t be beat!

So what do you think is causing the hangs in step 3? It’s quite annoying considering the investment.

Have you run it with your Quadro card turned off?

What’s are your specs ? Processor, video card, ssd, ram , and motherboard?

Not sure you can turn the card off? But I don’t see any issues with the card during the parts when the GPU is used.

Specs: dual E5 2620V3 128 GB RAM and it’s an HP Z840 workstation.

All resources are used for Step 3 the main difference between my system and yours is that you guys are running Quadro cards. I think the issues might be there. Which Quadro card and driver do you have?
