Hello,
I would like to know if performing densification at 1/4 image scale would reduce the precision. Does this increase the GSD, and if so, by how much? Please note that the calibration was performed at 1/2 image scale.

Hello @acanchi
The accuracy of a densified point cloud is influenced by the image scale used during the densification process. When densification is performed at a 1/4 image scale, it typically results in a lower resolution compared to using a 1/2 image scale. Consequently, the Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) will increase, leading to a point cloud with less detail.
The exact increase in GSD depends on several factors, including the original GSD of the input images and the specific algorithms applied. Generally, reducing the image scale from 1/2 to 1/4 roughly doubles the GSD, but this is only an approximation and can vary.
I hope this answers your question.
