Auto landing a Mavic on a moving platform

I am interested to have the ability to auto land the Mavic on a moving platform - a sailboat. The easiest implementable technology it seems to me to be the IR beacon , similar to IR-Lock:

Have you looked into the SDK packages offered for the various aerial platforms?

Keep in mind that the sun is a great source of IR energy, spurious noise maybe an issue.
