Using rig processing to scale a scene

Hi everyone, hopefully this question is an easy one for experienced users to answer!

If we run two cameras (syncronised shutters) and set up the correct rig parametres, will that defined distance between the cameras be used to help scale the scene or is it a master / slave relationship only

For our use case, we only need to prevent scale drift and roughly keep things to a real world scale. Would rather not use GPS at all and ideally no GCPs.

The two cameras will see common feature matches between each other

For a rig, the rig parameters (translation, rotation) will be used only for aligning the images so that they can overlay each other. Scaling has to be done separately like any other projects using scale constraints (
