I wish to do distance/area measurement through Raycloud - new Polyline tool. But, images thumbnails are not shown (Image number/ID are shown) for marking the vertices and computation of error. How can I enable these images.

As you already mentioned it is possible to refine the position of the vertices, using the images, in order to assess the accuracy of the measurements.
Could you provide us with more information in order to further investigate:
- Did you successfully process the Step 1.?
- Did you select the Polyline in the object layer?
- Did you right-click on the mouse to finish the drawing of the polyline in the rayCloud?
- Can you see the images if you click on a random automatic tie point?
Could you also post some screenshots that would depict the issue you are facing?
