Hi everyone,

I have a problem with channel mapping in Pix4D after performing histogram harmonization on my MicaSense RedEdge Dual images.

**Original workflow (worked fine):**

- Acquired images with MicaSense RedEdge Dual camera
- Processed them in Pix4D everything worked correctly

**What I did next:**

- Applied histogram harmonization to account for illumination variations and get a better mosaic
- The harmonized files are saved as .tif

**The problem:**
When I try to process these harmonized .tif files in Pix4D, the software misreads the channels. It detects them as Blue and Grayscale only, instead of the proper multispectral bands (Red, Green, Red Edge, NIR, etc.).

**What I tried to fix it:**

- Copied the original metadata back into the harmonized .tif files using ExifTool
- Tried forcing the band mapping manually in Pix4D
- Tested different import settings (Multispectral vs. Generic)
- Re-ran the harmonization with different parameters
- Verified in QGIS and ENVI that all 10 bands are still present

**Nothing worked so far.**

**My question:**
Has anyone successfully used histogram-harmonized MicaSense RedEdge .tif images in Pix4D? If so, how did you preserve or restore the correct channel mapping?

Thank you.

**System info:**

- Camera: MicaSense RedEdge Dual

- File format: TIFF

- Pix4D version: latest

- Harmonization method: Histogram Matching

Hello @sarafouad253, We don’t recommend you to modify those images before processing it with our software. The issue here is during the modification, metadata has changed that is why the software is not able to identify the information correctly.
