Hello,

I am trying to measure volumes for a project, but the mounds are inside of a warehouse/garage. Also trying to measure and capture a box under a road (Stormwater box). I know I won’t be able to get GPS in the warehouse or in the box. Has anyone here done any projects like this? If so, how did you approach it and what worked best to accurately capture the volumes and areas?

Thank you,

Nick

**Yes, this type of project can be completed using Pix4D tools, even in GPS-denied environments** such as warehouses or underground structures.

You can capture data using **PIX4Dcatch** or a compatible device and rely on **GCPs or visual markers** instead of GPS for accuracy. For indoor spaces, good lighting, high image overlap, and high-resolution imagery are key.

The data can then be processed in **PIX4Dmapper** , which use photogrammetry to generate accurate 3D models without GPS information.

Once the model is created, **volume measurement tools** can be used to calculate mounds or structures like stormwater boxes. Capturing images from multiple angles will improve model quality, especially in confined spaces.
