# Image scale for point cloud

Hi friend  
Ex: A project of 500 images of 14 MP generates a point cloud of 40 million points using the default options.

But if I got A project of 500 images of 20MP .how many point cloud ?  
So I want to know role to calculate it

Please help me

Hi @makpiseth777344, as mentioned in the [How many Points are generated during step 2. Point Cloud and Mesh?](https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/203269885) article, the the number of points that are generated depends on several factors such as the image size, image content, image overlap, and processing options.

Therefore, it is not possible to precisely estimate the number of points generated during step 2.

If I would have to give a rough estimation, you will most probably end up with approximately 50 to 60 million points.
