I want to set up multiple projects and have them run one right after the other, is this possible? For example, I would like to set up 5 projects and run step 1 one after the other (without user intervention). Then once those are done, add in GCPs, and run step 2 and 3 for all projects one after the other (without user intervention). Instead of doing each project separately. Does pix4D mapper have a feature like this?

Hi @stephanie.flaman,

Welcome to the Pix4D Community 🤝.

The feature that you are requesting is not available in PIX4Dmapper. However, something similar was implemented in PIX4Dmatic and is called **Processing queue**.

You can find additional information here:

> **[Create a project - PIX4Dmatic](https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044954672-Create-a-project-PIX4Dmatic#Processing_queue)**

> Tip: It is possible to create a new project by simply dragging and dropping images or image folders on the home ...

If you want to use PIX4Dmapper, you need to process in parallel using the following procedure:

- Open two or more instances of PIX4Dmapper by opening it again (double click on its icon on the desktop shortcut or in the start menu). Open/load a different project on every instance open. When hovering on the windows taskbar, you will see the different projects.

- Modify the _Maximum Resources Available for Processing_ in the _Processing options \> Resources and Notifications_. If you are using two instances of PIX4Dmapper, select half of the resources available. If you are using three instances, select one-third of the resources. And so on. Make sure that when adding all the open instances, you are not going above 100%. You can find additional information here:

> **[How to modify the resources (cores and RAM) assigned for processing](https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/202560199-How-to-modify-the-resources-cores-and-RAM-assigned-for-processing)**
>
> By default the software will use all the Cores and all the RAM memory available. It is possible to choose how many Cores and how much RAM to use for processing following:
> 1. On the Menu bar, click ...

- Start the processing on every instance

⚠ Note: **This is not a standard procedure** and we can’t provide additional support. Please use this way of processing only if you have a powerful enough device (RAM and CPU/GPU) and fast read-write drives (SSD, Raid 0, …). Please test to see if the device can handle such a workload.

This won’t eventually be as fast as if the processing were queued (batch processing), but it is a good alternative to take advantage of times with no operators available (nights, weekends, holidays).

Happy processing.
