# Failing to stitch images (error R0009) from Mavic 3M on mulitple sets of photos

I have downloaded the trial version of Pix4D fields and I am using a MacBook Pro M2, 16GB RAM, macOS Sonoma 14.1.

The first two folders of photos from a drone (DJI Mavic 3M) were processed successfully.

Then the next sets of photos from new flights were stuck at the processing stage (the folder would open and at around 27% of processing it would freeze). One of these times I left the software on and finally got this error:

Failed to stitch images  
R0009: An error occurred while stitching the images.

For one of these sets I tried it on the computer of a colleague, who downloaded the trial version, and he got the same problem. Again it would freeze at 27%. That computer was a Dell with Windows 11.

The two sets that would not process were able to work when I used Fast processing (they would only get stuck in Accurate processing). I would appreciate your help to determine why the drone photos would not process. The drone is a new one, with a new SD card that was formatted on the drone before the flight.

HI Christos,

It might have been related to the imagery then. Perhaps you did not have enough overlap to process using Accurate.
