# Error Step 1

Hi @jlmitchell42 ,

Some basic checks:

- Ensure datasets and project folders are stored on a local hard drive (typically C:/ or D:/).
- Ensure the GPU driver is updated.
- Ensure the hardware meets the requirements: [Computer requirements - PIX4Dmapper](https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002439383-Computer-requirements-PIX4Dmapper?source=search)
- Ensure no anti-virus or firewall interfering with the processing
- Do a complete uninstallation and reinstall PIX4Dmapper: [How to completely uninstall PIX4Dmapper - PIX4Dmapper](https://support.pix4d.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000450103-How-to-completely-uninstall-PIX4Dmapper-PIX4Dmapper?source=search)

If none of these helps, could you please share the complete log file?  
You can find it in the project folder: …\project\_name\project\_name.log
